Basketball Game Preview: Torrington Trailblazers vs. Burns Broncs

The Torrington Trailblazers just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Burns Broncs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Torrington will be strutting in after a victory while Burns will be coming in after a defeat.

Torrington is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Mitchell by a score of 61-50 on Thursday. Given the Trailblazers' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 21st in Wyoming, while the Tigers are ranked 143rd in Nebraska), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Burns lost 69-45 to Big Horn on Saturday. The Broncs haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Torrington will need focus on slowing down Parker Ochsner, one of several Burns players who made an impact when they last played. He posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Mason Medley, who put up eight points and five rebounds.

Torrington is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Burns, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
