Softball Recap: Connellsville Comes Up Short

Connellsville entered their contest against Baldwin on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Falcons lost 20-5 to the Highlanders. The match marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cali Leichliter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Connellsville suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 5-2. As for Baldwin, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Connellsville is set to challenge their familiar foe Bethel Park at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Baldwin will take on rival Thomas Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
