Volleyball Recap: Evergreen Valley Comes Up Short

Evergreen Valley lost against Leland last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Chargers, falling 3-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Evergreen Valley was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Leland's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-23.

Evergreen Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Leland, they have been performing well recently as they've won 17 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Evergreen Valley has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Westmont on the 23rd. As for Leland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Branham on the 24th.
