Recap: Bladensburg Mustangs vs. Douglass Eagles

The Bladensburg Mustangs can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They slipped by Douglass 65-64. The win was just what Bladensburg needed coming off of a 79-39 loss in their prior matchup.

Despite the loss, Douglass still got an impressive performance from Kwari Harvey, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and three steals. The game was Harvey's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emmanuel Carson, who scored 15 points.

Bladensburg's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Douglass, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Bladensburg and Huntingtown will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Huntingtown is ranked 198th, while Bladensburg is ranked 188th). As for Douglass, they will head out on the road to face off against Potomac at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Potomac comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
