Basketball Recap: Gilroy Takes a Loss

Gilroy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to the Evergreen Valley Cougars at home by a 59-44 margin. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1111th, while the Cougars are ranked 526th).

Gilroy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Evergreen Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Gilroy nor Evergreen Valley have any future games scheduled.
