Gahr has gone a perfect 5-0 against La Serna recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Gladiators will look to defend their home field against the Lancers at 3:15 p.m.

Gahr is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Valley Christian just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. Neither they nor the Defenders could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 tie.

Isabelle Gonzalez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for La Serna, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against California by a score of 7-2 on Tuesday.

La Serna also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Karina Torres gave up only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Aubrie Baruch was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Elissa Guerrero, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

La Serna has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. With that draw, Gahr's record moves to 10-10-3.

Gahr took their win against La Serna when the teams last played back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 11-4 score. Will the Gladiators repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
