Preview: Angleton Wildcats vs. Ball Tornadoes
Angleton is 0-3 against Ball since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Angleton Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Ball Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. Angleton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 603rd, while Ball is ranked 166th).
Angleton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They lost to La Porte at home by a decisive 69-50 margin.
La Porte typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Ball proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 60-55 W over the Bulldogs. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Angleton dropped their record down to 12-21 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Ball, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.
Angleton came up short against Ball in their previous meeting back in January, falling 54-50. Can Angleton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
