Recap: Skyline Eagles vs. Highland Rams
The Skyline Eagles managed to keep up with the Highland Rams until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Skyline suffered a rough 68-45 defeat at the hands of Highland. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Skyline has suffered yet this season.
Skyline's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kai Sorenson, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Karson Kaufusi, who scored 14 points.
Highland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Drisdom out in front who scored 16 points along with six assists and three steals. Drisdom continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Sefa Brown was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Skyline bumped their record down to 9-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Highland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing West the next time they take the court. Skyline will host West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Highland will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
