Fargo Davies and Shanley pushed the score to 15-5 the last time they played Shanley, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Deacons 3-1. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Eagles have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Fargo Davies' victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Shanley, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Fargo Davies is set to challenge their familiar foe Red River at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Shanley will face off against rival West Fargo at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
