Baseball Recap: Belleville Takes a Loss

Belleville dropped their record down to 16-17-1 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They lost 11-3 to the Lincoln Railsplitters. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Tigers who fell 3-1 when the teams previously met back in May of 2018.

As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 15-29. They haven't had any issues with Belleville recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

For Lincoln's part, Corbin Kern and Kane Ladner did most of the damage at the plate: Kern went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Ladner went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Kern a new career-high. Brayden Yates was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

As of now, neither Belleville nor Lincoln have any future games scheduled.
