Recap: Cactus Shadows Falcons vs. Agua Fria Owls
The Cactus Shadows Falcons can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Agua Fria 56-14 at home. Considering Cactus Shadows has won three contests by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Cactus Shadows to victory were Billy Deatsch and Donivan Dixon. Deatsch picked up 176 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while Dixon threw for 335 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt. Deatsch was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 61 yards.
When it comes to explaining why Agua Fria lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jay'vier Cook. Despite the final result, he rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
Cactus Shadows' win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Agua Fria, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.
