Volleyball Recap: Plainfield East's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Plainfield East came into Saturday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the MICDS Rams by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Despite the loss, MICDS saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kendall Lay had 14 assists and six digs. Lay has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Plainfield East's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for MICDS, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Plainfield East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Gateway Legacy Christian Academy on the 4th. As for MICDS, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Westminster Christian on the 6th.
