Football Game Preview: Estill County Engineers vs. Lawrence County Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Estill County Engineers are taking a road trip to challenge the Lawrence County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Estill County is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Letcher County Central just ended the team's three-game winning streak last Friday. They took a hard 48-32 fall against the Cougars.

Despite the loss, Estill County had strong showings from Brody Mainous, who threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns, and Hunter Bingham, who picked up 91 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Bingham also put up two receiving touchdowns, which were his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Lawrence County entered their tilt with Powell County on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed past the Pirates to the tune of 43-7. That looming 43-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Estill County better keep an eye on Luke Fetherolf. He was instrumental in Lawrence County's win, throwing for 178 yards and three TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes.

Lawrence County's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Estill County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Estill County and Lawrence County were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in September of 2024, but Estill County came up empty-handed after a 19-18 loss. Can the Engineers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
