Softball Recap: Mulberry Grove Comes Up Short

Mulberry Grove lost against Calhoun back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Aces lost 10-3 to the Warriors.

Jenni Mezo was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Callye Earnest, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Mulberry Grove's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Calhoun, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Coming up, Mulberry Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Martinsville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Aces' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bluestreaks have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Calhoun, they will take on Pleasant Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
