Basketball Recap: Lutheran East Beats Lutheran West for Their Third Straight Victory

Lutheran East waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with an 82-71 win over the Lutheran West Longhorns. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 47-42 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lutheran East to victory, but perhaps none more so than TJ Crumble, who posted 22 points. Crumble's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 21 points. Jayden Nellemsbey was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Lutheran East's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Lutheran West, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Lutheran East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 83-57 win against Mentor on the 11th. As for Lutheran West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-52 victory against John F. Kennedy Catholic on the 11th.
