Recap: Patterson Tigers vs. Golden Valley Cougars

The Patterson Tigers had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.4 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 47-46 photo finish over Golden Valley. For Patterson, this counts as revenge for the 59-52 loss Golden Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

It was another big night for David Nnaji, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds.

Patterson is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Golden Valley, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 19-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Patterson will take on Del Oro at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Del Oro focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday. As for Golden Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Vanden at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Vanden has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 840 points over their last 12 matches.
