Volleyball Recap: West Iredell Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Iredell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Hickory Red Tornadoes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Tornadoes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

West Iredell was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 25-15.

West Iredell's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Hickory, they pushed their record up to 24-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

West Iredell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Newton-Conover on the 2nd. As for Hickory, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against East Lincoln on the 2nd.
