Basketball Recap: Rocket City Comes Up Short

Rocket City lost against Life Christian Academy back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Falcons fell 50-40 to the Lions.

Despite the defeat, Rocket City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ezekiel Peterson almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Matthew Goodwin, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

Rocket City's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Life Christian Academy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Rocket City will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Bradley Knights at 12:30 p.m. Life Christian Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Falcons' matchup: after the Falcons face off against Master's Hand Christian, they'll take on Life Christian Academy again at 7:00 p.m. on January 13, 2026.
