New Palestine entered their tilt with New Castle on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Trojans 11-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-1 on Wednesday.

Jacob Morris made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gavin Neal, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Rigg Mahurin, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

New Palestine's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for New Castle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.
