Brandon proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Oak Grove Warriors 3-1. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Bulldogs have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Dakota Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brandon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Jenkins, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Brandon's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Oak Grove, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-6.

Brandon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-3 defeat against Florence on the 28th. As for Oak Grove, they have also already played their next matchup, a 16-1 loss against Petal on the 1st.
