Mohave Accelerated is on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Heritage Academy is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Patriots will welcome the Heroes at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

The Patriots never let North Valley Christian Academy get on the board and left with a 27-0 victory on Friday. The Patriots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Megan Jones and Alyssa Laing were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Jones didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Laing tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts Jones has posted since back in March. At bat, Jones got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and one triple, while Laing got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. With that strong performance, Jones is now averaging an impressive 1 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, Tanner Banks was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, six RBI, and four runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Lamb, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, six RBI, and one triple.
Mohave Accelerated kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in 21 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Heritage Academy got the win against ALA - Anthem South on Thursday by a conclusive 22-0.
Like Mohave Accelerated, Heritage Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Savana Soltero. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. Soltero has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sieana Soltero, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Rowan Asanovich, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Heritage Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Mohave Accelerated, their victory bumped their record up to 23-2.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mohave Accelerated hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .522. However, it's not like Heritage Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .451. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mohave Accelerated suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Heritage Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Patriots have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
