            There's no place like home for Byron Center, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   5-2  win over the Catholic Central Cougars  on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Cougars  on Wednesday, they had to take a  1-0  defeat.
 Keaton Van Kampen looked comfortable as he  pitched 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 At the plate,  Kellen Payne was  excellent,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run. That  home run was  his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Tate Bainbridge, who  went 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  double.
Byron Center's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Catholic Central, their loss was  their fourth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 5-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Byron Center will venture away from home to  face off against Mona Shores  at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Catholic Central, they will challenge Christian at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday. The Eagles will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
