Baseball Recap: Warren East Takes a Loss

Warren East was the 7-6 winner over Countryside when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars on Tuesday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Warren East saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was William Alexander, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Dane Parsley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Warren East now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Countryside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Warren East is taking a road trip to take on IMG Academy Black at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Ascenders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Countryside, they will welcome IMG Academy Navy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 3, the Ascenders 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
