Soccer Game Preview: Union Pines vs. South Johnston + How To Watch

The Union Pines Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the South Johnston Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Union Pines fell victim to West Johnston and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0. Union Pines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, South Johnston didn't have quite enough to beat Triton on Tuesday and fell 2-1. South Johnston have struggled against Triton recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

South Johnston's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Union Pines, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Union Pines came up short against South Johnston in their previous meeting back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
