Baseball Recap: Spurger Takes a Loss

Spurger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Deweyville. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Spurger of the 18-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Spurger's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Deweyville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Spurger will square off against rival Danbury at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Deweyville is set to face off against their familiar foe Big Sandy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
