There's no place like home for Pinnacle, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Boulder Creek Jaguars 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won eight in a row.

Pinnacle had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 19-25, 25-8, 25-9, 15-9.

Kate Hayes paced Pinnacle's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hayes got some help from Emma Elbert and her 23 assists. Anela Wailani controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Boulder Creek's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Julia Martain, who had 14 digs and two assists, and Adilyn Mittendorf, who had 18 digs and four assists. With that strong performance, Mittendorf is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.
