The King Brahmas fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Gregory-Portland Wildcats on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Wildcats 51-45.

Gregory-Portland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brittney Chapman led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Chapman has scored at least 25% of Gregory-Portland's points. Another player making a difference was Madison Kilgore, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Gregory-Portland, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

King will face off against Cypress Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gregory-Portland, they will square off against McAllen at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
