Hayden Smith leads Union to victory over Keystone

Recap: Union Knights/Damsels vs. Keystone Panthers

Even though the Union Knights/Damsels have not done well against the Keystone Panthers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Union walked away with a 41-32 win over Keystone. The win made it back-to-back wins for Union.

It was another big night for Hayden Smith, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Union's points. Trey Fleming was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Union has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Keystone, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Union will head out on the road to face off against Redbank Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Redbank Valley is on a five-game streak of home wins, Union a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Keystone will take on Clarion Area at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Clarion Area presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Keystone in Pennsylvania (Clarion Area is ranked 180th, while Keystone is ranked 573rd).
