Baseball Recap: Concord Takes a Loss

Concord was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Rowan Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, with their most recent loss being a 14-4 defeat back in March.

Concord saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reed Martin, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for South Rowan, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6.

Concord has already played their next contest, a 16-3 defeat against Lake Norman Charter on the 8th. As for South Rowan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 9-8 victory against Northwest Cabarrus on the 8th.
