Spring waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Langham Creek Lobos.

Layne Yelle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Adrian Najera, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Julian Curry was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Spring's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Langham Creek, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-16.

Looking ahead, Spring will welcome Nimitz at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Langham Creek, they will venture away from home to square off against Cypress Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lobos are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
