Volleyball Recap: Roger Bacon Takes a Loss

Roger Bacon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the St. Xavier Bombers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-21, 25-13.

Andrew Weigand paced Roger Bacon's offense, picking up eight kills. Weigand got some help from Alex Weigand and his nine assists.

Roger Bacon now has a losing record of 2-3. As for St. Xavier, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roger Bacon will venture away from home to challenge Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Xavier, they will head out to take on La Salle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
