Football Game Preview: Lewisburg Patriots vs. Horn Lake Eagles + Official Tickets

The Lewisburg Patriots will square off against the Horn Lake Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lewisburg is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Lewisburg's offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against Tupelo on Thursday. They were beaten by the Golden Wave 49-0. Having soared to a lofty 31 points in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Horn Lake, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down Southaven 31-14 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their 13-point performance the matchup before.

Horn Lake didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of MJ Sanders and Tyson Gray. Horn Lake got some further help from Sabin Williams: he picked up a sack, made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended two passes.

Horn Lake's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Lewisburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Lewisburg lost to Horn Lake at home by a decisive 39-21 margin when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
