Baseball Recap: Dewitt Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

DeWitt barely beat Waverly the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 15-7 victory on Thursday. 15 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

DeWitt pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Waverly, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DeWitt will venture away from home to square off against Heritage at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Waverly, they will head out on the road to challenge Eastern at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
