Volleyball Recap: Campbellsport Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Campbellsport challenged University School of Milwaukee on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Saturday.

Muraski Emma paced Campbellsport's offense, picking up nine kills. Emma got some help from Schwartz Gracie and her 12 assists. Gracie also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jarmuez Abby, each putting up three.

Campbellsport has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season. As for University School of Milwaukee, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.

Looking ahead, Campbellsport will be playing in front of their home fans against Laconia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for University School of Milwaukee, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Port Washington on the 27th.
