Softball Recap: Brooke Point Takes a Loss

Brooke Point lost against Colonial Forge back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Black Hawks fell 7-3 to the Eagles. The Black Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lizzy Hastings was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Catie Alley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Brooke Point's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Colonial Forge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Brooke Point is taking a road trip to face off against Riverbend at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bears will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something the Black Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Colonial Forge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodbridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
