Basketball Recap: Kohelet Yeshiva Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Rivka Levitt and Meytal Benjamini

Kohelet Yeshiva was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 41-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of The City School Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Kohelet Yeshiva this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-30 last Monday.

Meytal Benjamini and Rivka Levitt certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Benjamini posted 11 points, while Levitt scored 11 points.

Kohelet Yeshiva's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for The City School, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Kohelet Yeshiva will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Barrack Hebrew Academy at 9:00 p.m. on February 8th. As for The City School, they will square off against Sankofa Freedom Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The City School is facing Sankofa Freedom Academy at the right time seeing as Sankofa Freedom Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
