Baseball Recap: Belding Takes a Loss

After flying high against Kelloggsville on Tuesday, Belding came back down to earth. The Redskins lost 14-3 to the Lakewood Vikings on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Redskins in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.

Belding saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Martin Holyfield, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Belding's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Lakewood, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

While Belding had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
