Basketball Game Preview: Opp Bobcats vs. Andalusia Bulldogs

Opp and Andalusia are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Opp Bobcats will host the Andalusia Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Opp is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season.

While Opp didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-25), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Zion Chapel 62-38 last Friday. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 24 points or more this season.

DJ Hines was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 21 boards. Those 21 rebounds gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jeshurun Crittenden, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Opp was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Andalusia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Sequoyah and fell 68-34. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Opp's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5. As for Andalusia, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
