Preview: Enfield Eagles vs. Windham Whippets
The Enfield Eagles and the Windham Whippets will round out the year against one another at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at. Enfield comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
On Wednesday, Enfield had to suffer through a rough 83-53 loss at the hands of Farmington. While losing is never fun, Enfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Farmington is ranked 13th).
Meanwhile, Windham strolled past Griswold with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 60-42. The victory was just what Windham needed coming off of a 91-58 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Windham to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anden Gonzalez , who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gonzalez has scored all season. Anthony Green was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.
Enfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Windham, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
