Volleyball Recap: Aurora Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

Aurora not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 8th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Central City Bison. The Huskies were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Bison, so the Huskies were just returning the favor.

Aurora not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Central City between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-18.

Aurora had a senior duo take command as Trinity Uhrmacher had 15 digs and two aces and Paityn Wyatt had nine digs and two aces. Uhrmacher has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 13 times she's played. Kaitlyn Staehr also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Aurora is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Central City, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 9-7.

Aurora has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Ashland-Greenwood on the 27th. As for Central City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against North Bend Central on the 27th.
