Volleyball Recap: The Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If The Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Kent Denver on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Stargate School Eagles on Thursday. It was the first time this season that the Wildcats let down their fans at home.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-15, 25-18.

Ava Gallegos paced The Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Gallegos got some help from Olivia Luxner and her 19 assists. Jaslynn Medina controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Stargate School, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

The Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Forge Christian on the 22nd. As for Stargate School, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Kent Denver on the 20th.
