Basketball Recap: Peotone Comes Up Short

Peotone lost against Manteno back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Peotone Blue Devils fell to the Manteno Panthers 62-58.

Peotone now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Manteno, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Looking ahead, Peotone will welcome Wilmington at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Wilmington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Peotone likes a good challenge. As for Manteno, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Herscher is on a five-game streak of home wins, Manteno a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
