Baseball Recap: Traip Rangers vs. Old Orchard Beach Seagulls

Traip extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-3 in the process. They lost 14-5 to the Old Orchard Beach Seagulls. Surprisingly, this marked the Rangers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Chris Balano was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off one hit. Balano was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run.

Balano wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dylan D'Auteuil, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Jack Downs was another, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
