Baseball Recap: Ada's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Ada came into Monday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Pandora-Gilboa Rockets on Monday. The Bulldogs not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 7th (when they won 12-0).

Ada let Levi Green and Thad Smith run wild. Green went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs, while Smith got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave Smith a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Wibley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Ada's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Pandora-Gilboa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-17.

Ada and Pandora-Gilboa could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Bulldogs will face off against Fort Jennings at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (689 vs. 314). Meanwhile, Pandora-Gilboa (ranked 728th) will meet Kalida (ranked 137th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
