Basketball Preview: Crofton Warriors vs. Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family

After four games on the road, Crofton is heading back home. They will take on Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family at TBD on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Crofton is ranked 154th, while the are ranked 161st).

On Friday, Crofton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-39 to the Braves.

Despite their loss, Crofton saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Braxston Foxhoven, who scored 14 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Allen, who scored nine points.

Even though Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family has not done well against the Panthers recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family walked away with a 54-46 win over the Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family.

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Owen Kurtenbach out in front who scored 18 points along with two blocks. Kurtenbach continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Caden Brandl, who scored 12 points.

Crofton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Crofton suffered a grim 58-37 defeat to the in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Crofton, Sage Frauendorfer (who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and six assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
