The Skyline Spartans are taking a road trip to face off against the Tahoma Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyline will be strutting in after a win while Tahoma will be coming in after a loss.

Skyline is headed out to face Tahoma after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Skyline took down Sunnyside 24-8 on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Skyline to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason Pirello, who threw for 147 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 46 yards. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards. Joshua Menold handled things on the ground, rushing for 111 yards.

Skyline's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Jack Mayes and Luke Morgan. Mayes also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Meanwhile, Tahoma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Issaquah, falling 31-7.
