Brady Strait was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six stolen bases and four runs. White Cloud is 4-1 when Strait posts two or more runs, but 3-13 otherwise.

Strait wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Reece Hewitt, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

White Cloud's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14. As for Kent City, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

White Cloud will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
