Softball Recap: Union Comes Up Short

Union blew Northeast Lauderdale out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Northeast Lauderdale got their revenge. The Union Yellowjackets fell just short of the Northeast Lauderdale Trojans by a score of 10-8. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Raleigh Dickerson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. LaCee Bishop was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Union's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Northeast Lauderdale, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union will welcome Enterprise at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Lauderdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Philadelphia at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
