Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chisago Lakes Area). Everything went their way against the Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] Wolverines on Friday as they made off with a 10-0 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Chisago Lakes Area got a great performance from Zander Bleymeyer as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Bleymeyer also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Wildcats are 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 0-6 otherwise.

At the plate, Kellen Meissner was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Carson Drury was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Chisago Lakes Area's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia], they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Chisago Lakes Area will welcome Princeton at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia], they will head out on the road to face off against Cherry at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
