Basketball Recap: Fullington Academy Comes Up Short

Fullington Academy suffered their biggest loss since December 27, 2024 on Monday. They lost 62-41 to the Windsor Academy Knights. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Fullington Academy lost, don't look at Will Sangster. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 11 en route to 22 points and eight rebounds. Sangster is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Sangster, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.

It was another big night for Gavin Snow, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 17 points for Windsor Academy. Another player making a difference was Chris Lamar, who put up six points and seven boards.

Fullington Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Windsor Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13.

Fullington Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-48 win against Westwood on the 28th. As for Windsor Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-50 defeat against Trinity Christian on the 28th.
